Overview

Miami was pretty much as we’d expected – lots of Americans, big art deco buildings, big cars. Oh, and lots of big body builders too (guys with arms as big as my head!).

The beaches were alright - there was sand, sea and even some sun, but they just don’t compare with Thailand or Tahiti - I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with another beach ever again. We underwent some retail therapy in preparation for coming home and we gave Catherine’s new credit card a bit of a hammering, but I did manage to replace my camera for not much more than I paid for the last one [Editor’s note: funny I thought I bought it].

For our last evening of our trip, we treated ourselves to a delicious meal and then a drink in the Sky Bar- great once we eventually found it. It was only the one drink though, because they were $11 each.
